This image is a series completed for one of my clients that owns a dance studio. The company also puts on productions which include The Wiz, Annie, and for this year they decided to reach way out and do an adaptation of Pride Land. The parents create all of the costumes for this production. I, on the other hand, was responsible for finding a look (in this case a venue) that would portray the production to its fullest. The client and I both wanted to see "Lion King" brought to life right in the triad area.
I think this represents me to the fullest. This shoot gave me the opportunity to not only try something new, but it allowed me to be creative and utilize the play of costumes as well as color and the challenge of shooting outdoors in very undesirable conditions.
I am very pleased to be able to put my fine art background to use. The image displays the dynamic colors and mystery of the "African" terrain that runs throughout the show.
