Catalyst Wed Co. is seeking four community ambassadors that will serve a six month commitment as a Catalyst leader, adviser, and brand ambassador.

Catalyst Wed Co. Mission

Catalyst Wed Co. is dedicated to increasing diverse representation in wedding media and to building a conscientious community of wedding professionals. We publish Catalyst Wedding Magazine, the first-ever print wedding magazine with a feminist consciousness, and we host a traveling workshop, {un}convention, for progressive vendors who are passionate about working with diverse, down-to-earth, crazy-in-love couples. We've also expanded our offerings for wedding professionals to include Feminist Photo Vaycay, Out of the Box, and weekend retreats.

We seek to empower our community of readers and business owners to bring race, gender, sexuality, class, bodies, and more into the conversations taking place in the wedding world, a huge industry that maintains some very traditional ideas about power.

Catalyst Wed Co. Goals

We love the magazine, but we want to engage our audience more than twice per year. Moving forward, Catalyst is aiming to increase our digital platform and to expand the voices and perspectives of our leadership team. We want to become the site for conversations around love, sex, marriage, and weddings for progressive readers. Our intention is to lead challenging conversations around issues of social justice within relationships and within the wedding industry at large. We want to ensure that Catalyst is responding to the issues and current events that are relevant to our community, and we feel that Catalyst is best led by a collective that shares the Catalyst mission. We have questions about the direction of Catalyst, and we want to lean into our community to develop business solutions and to ensure that Catalyst is truly serving its community.
