Did you have a background in your industry? If not, what emboldened to do what you do?
My undergraduate degree was Sociology, but I always gravitated toward art and design. I took classes in design here and there and ended up going to grad school for it when I was old enough to know for sure what I wanted to do as a career. If you're meant to do something, the universe usually puts you on that path (if you let it).

What are the biggest pleasures of your job? What could you do without?
I love making things come to life. Whether it's digital or analog or a collaboration. My job at CreativeLive allows me to make things often. I could do without filling out any kind of form, ever.

Who or what has been your mentor/inspiration along the way?
My Mom is pretty awesome. She inspires me to be the best version of myself.

Has failing at something or quitting ever lead to success for you?
Hell yes! Failing is the best way to learn from your mistakes. Although the word 'fail' has negative connotations it can end up being such a good thing!

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Veterinarian, until I realized all the schooling it required. I had dogs all growing up, and still do today. I also wanted to be an interior designer and would spend hours making furniture, wallpaper and little pillows for my dollhouse.

What’s your drink of choice?
My drink of choice for the past five years has been green smoothies! I have a Vitamix at home that I put everything in — kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, whatever fruit is in season, chia seeds and more.

What’s one thing about you that people would be surprised to know?
I love reality television. My favorite is the Real Housewives of New York. I can binge watch for days. I have an ongoing list of bingeworthy shows that is separated into categories and when a new show comes out or I get a recommendation I add it to the list. I'm also a devout '90s hip hop fan. I grew up on hip hop, the early stuff, and it's in my blood.
