I met Jay while I was working at a local credit union, and we quickly became close friends. I was so honored that they chose me to be part of their wedding day and capture such a special time in their lives together. Throughout their wedding planning process, I would talk to Jay and they were struggling to decide if they should get married in a state that recognized same-sex marriages or if they should get the marriage license and technically get married in a different state but have the ceremony here. After thinking about it for a while they decided to get married here in Tennessee. Thankfully, shortly before their wedding day, same-sex marriages were legalized so they could finally relax and enjoy the last few months before their wedding! On September 25, 2015, they got married at a little place in downtown Knoxville surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Meet Jaimie Carl: To me, photographs hold a special kind of magic. I want to tell your journey, the whole story, from engagements to weddings to those tiny miracles called children and give you a piece of that magic I feel. Being able to capture all those special memories and moments for my couples and families gives me such joy. I am blessed to have a career that allows me the ability to capture the excitement and emotion of life's big (and small) moments.
Outside of photography, I'm a chai tea-loving, donut/taco addicted creative with a wanderlust spirit. In my free time, I can enjoy sitting at home with my husband, Nadeem, and our three furbabies or hiking and traveling somewhere new if the adventurous spirit hits me.
