I started photographing weddings and portraits in high school and always knew I wanted to pursue a career in it. I graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design and while there my business grew. Growing up, I didn't see many plus size queer women, or any diversity for that matter, in the wedding industry. I hope that my passion for diversity and inclusion can maybe make even a tiny change to that. It's one of the reasons why I'm so passionate about what Catalyst Wed Co. stands for.
How do you approach weddings?
I have been told that I bring calm and compassion to wedding days. I have a documentary approach to photography but also know when to step in and give some more direction to couples who need it. I've learned that I'm not only a photographer on wedding days but also a bustler, boutonniere pinner, family wrangler, and best friend. I hope when I deliver galleries that couples are able to relive their day in an authentic and emotional way.
What are some traits of your ideal clients?
My ideal client is madly in love, ready to throw tradition out the window, loves a good party, and fully embraces diversity. Couples tend to come to me after not seeing couples who look like them being celebrated on other photographer's sites. Much like Catalyst, they want to find vendors who celebrate diversity and inclusion. My clients also realize that the stress and expectations of their wedding day are far less important than the life they are building together.

My partner, plants, and travel!
