What is the origin story of With These Rings?

With These Rings was conceived when my husband and I needed rings when we eloped. My (now) husband suggested that since I am a jeweler and teacher that I should just teach him and we would make each others. The experience was so special for us that i decided to offer it to other people, and the business grew from there.

What is your favorite project that you've worked on?

It would be impossible to pick a favorite set of rings, each couple puts so much care and effort into the rings that they make so even the simplest bands are immeasurably special. So I would have to say that creating the workshop itself has to be my favorite project. It satisfies my passions for art, teaching, and creating heirloom quality jeweler. I get to think creatively about running a sustainable business AND I get to spend my days with people in love.

How are you a "wedding space disruptor"?

By offering an alternative in the jewelry industry. Couples come to my studio because the want to share an experience together. We make wedding bands out of precious metals and hard gemstones because they are durable enough to hold up to lifelong daily wear. But I believe that true value of a wedding band doesn't come from the materials it is made of, but from what the band symbolizes. When you make them yourself it just adds to the meaning.

Willingness to learn something new, being present in the moment, enthusiasm for creating both your rings.
