CATALYST IS BACK - A New Chapter for Catalyst Wedding Co.

For over a decade, Catalyst Wedding Co. has been a home for couples and wedding professionals who believe the wedding industry can be more inclusive and reflective of the couples it serves, feature Game Changing Weddings, and highlight average people getting married. Today, we're excited to share that Catalyst is back after her hiatus and entering a new chapter

Under the leadership of Carissa Campbell, Executive Director, and Amy Sims, Technical Director, Catalyst is being reimagined as a community-driven organization focused on creating change in the wedding industry. While our commitment to progressive and game changing celebrations remains the same, we're expanding our mission to focus on four key areas:

  • creating community

  • educating wedding professionals

  • supporting queer couples

  • giving back

Over the coming months, we'll be launching regional Catalyst Community Groups designed to bring together Queer and Allied wedding professionals, who want to make a difference in our industry. These groups will offer opportunities for networking, education, mentorship, community service, and the chance to build genuine relationships with other aligned vendors in your area. Whether you're a photographer, planner, florist, venue owner, or any other wedding professional there is a place for you in this community.

We're also incredibly excited to introduce one of the cornerstones of our mission: The Big Queer Wedding. (psssttt… more on that later)

This annual celebration will bring vendors together to provide wedding celebrations for queer couples, creating experiences that may have been unattainable due to financial or familial constraints, all while demonstrating what's possible when a community rallies around love. The Big Queer Wedding represents our belief of access, representation, and celebrations that make an impact. We believe that the wedding industry has the power to create meaningful impact beyond the weddings we serve every day. Our community groups will give us the opportunity to serve the local community in many different ways, changing the way we look at networking.

Follow along as we share more about membership opportunities, community leadership roles, and ways to get involved. If you've ever wished for a wedding industry that felt more connected and authentic we're building it, And we would LOVE for you to be a part of it.
