Hi, I’m Carissa (she/her). It’s nice to meet you!
After building a career in hospitality and event logistics, I’ve spent the past decade planning weddings and events of all sizes. From intimate gatherings of just a few guests to 400-person Weddings in New York City’s most iconic venues and raw spaces, we bring the party.
That experience, combined with a love for whimsical design and seamless execution, led me to create Campbell Events, a boutique Events studio in Astoria, Queens. Campbell Events leads event planning with your love story - crafting the guest experience, design, and logistics so that they scream YOU! We ensure that everything feels authentic while being meticulous about the details. We want to know you, your people, and get to know your Vibes.
How does Campbell Events approach weddings?
The Campbell Events experience is rooted in a clear, supportive process with a lot of fun along the way. We begin by getting to know you and your vision, then assemble your vendor team, developing a cohesive plan and design direction, and manage every detail needed to bring it to life. Organization and communication are at the core of what we do. We handle the logistics, streamline communication, and keep everything moving forward staying true to your love story and personalities. The result is a wedding where all of the guests can leave saying “WOW that was so them.”
What are some traits of your ideal clients?
Campbell Events clients care deeply about creating an experience reflective of who they are and creating a time that their guests will talk about forever. They value good design, meaningful details, and a well-run event, but they also want the day to feel natural and unforced. They’re passionate, inclusive, and excited to celebrate with their community. They appreciate guidance and trust the process, while still bringing their own perspective and personality to the table. They want a celebration that will be truly reflective of their values and personal quirks.

“Carissa was originally a 6 month planner for our august 2020 wedding. At that time we had booked our big vendors (band, venue, photographers, florals) but I was having a hard time getting the venue to match my vision and she became a tremendous help with that- helping with color schemes and the little details that make a wedding unique to you. As you can expect in March we had to reschedule and Carissa became my go-to for the next year. I didn't do ANYTHING when it came to contracts, rescheduling vendors, etc. She was always available via text when I was panicking and here for my 1000-changes of mind when it came to colors/florals etc. The week of the wedding we had some unexpected news come out (ie our venue was having a wedding the morning of our wedding, there was a wooden chuppah over our bridal table which was supposed to be removed).
