ABOUT VENDOR
Meet Sarah Bode Clark
Wedding photography for couples who value connection and love vibrant, candid photos. I bring a positive vibe and a calming presence to your wedding to capture you in your truest element - and deliver photos that radiate happiness and joy.
With extensive prep, great communication, and seamless day-of flow, all you'll have to do is be present and enjoy yourself on your wedding day! I'll help you feel instantly at ease, even if you're nervous or self-conscious, so you feel comfortable in front of the camera—and even have fun taking pictures. And your final gallery will be full of natural photos that transport you back to every awesome moment to relive over and over again.
How does Sarah approach weddings?
I offer an experience that's inviting (but not stuffy). What's it like to work together?
Personal: Capturing images that are a reflection of you. Your unique energy and interactions are my guide so your photos will be one of a kind.
Organized: I am detail-oriented and thorough, and do a ton of prep leading up to your event so logistics are effortless throughout your wedding day.
Chill: With a candid photography approach and my ability to make you comfortable ASAP, taking photos is going to feel like a breeze (even if you normally feel awkward in front of the camera!).
What are some traits of your ideal clients?
My clients are folks planning meaningful, personality-filled weddings who care more about being present than performing. Their events focus on creative details that carry personal meaning and they value a fun and unique guest experience. The wedding can be a tiny elopement, a restaurant brunch, or a blow-out celebration, but no matter what, they put a lot of intention behind their decisions instead of following a template or checking off boxes.
What are some of your favorite things?
I love to watch movies and theater, and reading books, especially when shared with my partner, Joe. My three favorite things are: 1. The first day that it feels like spring after winter, when it feels like everyone is out and happy with the world; 2. When you have a silent connection with a stranger on the subway over something you both see or experience together; 3. The time after the meal is over at a dinner party when everyone has settled in and is just cozy and relaxed together. My favorite hobby is cooking and trying new foods.
My perfect day is eating a donut on the way to the beach, where I spend the day swimming and reading. Followed by a seafood dinner with friends and then a bonfire with s'mores, bourbon, and a lot of laughter.
TESTIMONIAL
“She helped keep the day structured and organized without interfering with the emotions of the day. During the ceremony and the party, she managed to artfully capture every moment. She seemed to be in multiple places at once, so that she never missed a moment. When we got our pictures back, it was an amazing experience to discover so many new moments that happened amongst our family and friends. The pictures themselves were stunning. In fact, we heard over and over again from friends that they were the best wedding photos anyone had ever seen.” Sari
