Real Couples // Second Grade Sweethearts Wed: Kurt + Ronni
/Kurt and I have known each other since we were seven years old as elementary school acquaintances. After reconnecting later in life while we both had significant others, we soon ended those relationships and began dating each other. Kurt eventually proposed on the playground of the elementary school we both went to. Pretty adorable.
We decided to get married at the local courthouse in the town we both grew up in. Our small wedding consisted of our parents, siblings and best friends. We wanted this day to be stress free and as small as possible. We didn't see the need for a large party with family members we never see and people we've only hung out with a handful of times. It turned out to be such a fun day with those we love most.
Most elements of a "wedding" were missing from our big day, but that did not make it any less special. Our ceremony was under five minutes and our reception was a small luncheon at a restaurant near our home. This day was meant to share the love we share with our families and those we love the most, and that's exactly what it turned out to be. We are so excited to finally be married after having crushes on each other for as long as we can remember!
We didn't hire a photographer; we just told my sister in law a few specific photos to take of us along with everyone else's photos that they captured throughout the reception!
