When my dear friend and her wife decided to tie the knot in 2014, they asked me to photograph their wedding. Despite a thriving career in sports photography and public relations, I found my true calling as a wedding photojournalist, and never looked back. I'm a creative wedding photojournalist based in Woodstock, Connecticut — the northeast corner, about an hour from Boston, Hartford and Providence, the perfect location for documenting weddings across New England! Photography is my full-time work, my passion and my calling. I'm most passionate about showcasing the rich, beautiful diversity of our world through photos, and what better way than documenting the most joyful celebrations we have?

How do you approach weddings?

Our industry is still too homogenized, and I believe that *true* disruption is about challenging perceptions. THIS is what I'm passionate about. As photographers, our responsibility is twofold: first, to ensure that every potential client can see themselves in our past work, and know that we celebrate ALL love stories. Second, we have an incredible opportunity to make an impact by allowing people to (literally) see another person, culture, religion, whatever — through a different lens. This is particularly true of wedding photography. Pictures are POWERFUL: we have the chance to tell stories that spread love, inspire compassion, and speak to the beauty of diversity.

What are some traits of your ideal clients?

I love clients who are true to themselves. My goal is always to catch the spirit of a person — their true essence — and to do that, you ideally aren't posing; you're just being your beautiful, natural self. It's important that I connect with couples who embrace and celebrate diversity in all of its forms, and agree that ALL love stories should be equally celebrated.

How are you a "wedding space disrupter”?

Our industry is still too homogenized, and I believe that *true* disruption is about challenging perceptions. As photographers, our responsibility is twofold: first, to ensure that every potential client can see themselves in our past work, and know that we celebrate ALL love stories. Second, we have an incredible opportunity to make an impact by allowing people to (literally) see another person, culture, religion, whatever - through a different lens. What are three of your favorite things?

Clients who make each other laugh. The warmth of the sun and the sound of waves. My husband and our mischievous cats. And donuts.

What Past Clients Have To Say:

"Teresa was absolutely amazing to work with! From our very first phone call with her to after the wedding she has been so wonderful to work with. Teresa is truly a talented photographer and invests so much into the couples that she shoots and her work. During our sessions prior to our wedding and especially on our wedding day she made both my husband and I feel incredibly comfortable. She also made our fur baby Louie feel comfortable during our engagement shoot and was so welcoming to the idea of incorporating him in our photos which was important to us. The day of our wedding Teresa made sure we had every photo taken that we had requested, offered amazing suggestions and provided us with a detailed timeline which helped move the event along. She was flexible, warm and truly made us feel at ease. We would totally recommend her to any couple looking for a kind photographer who does beautiful work and is both professional and personal at the same time. Teresa was such an important part of our day and we are so glad we chose her!"
