Potluck weddings can be lots of fun, and can give all of your guests a way to feel involved, but they can also be a lot of work. Not sure whether a potluck wedding is really the right fit for you and your partner? We asked the members of our vendor directory to share their thoughts.

Yep. It is true. I am a single straight guy, and I do in fact dream about my wedding. It is something that I honestly cannot deny, and to that end, I do not feel the need to.In my estimation, weddings are a celebration of experiences, the excitement of future moments shared, and the opportunity to express these recognitions with loved ones that will hopefully continue to have an impression in my partner's and my life. What more could I ask for?

Nicky & I have been together since we met in Ann Arbor in 2009.  We have always been adventurers and made a move to Brooklyn, NY in 2011.  For most of our years together, we knew we'd found our lifetime partner but we weren't sure about getting married, what that would mean and what it might look like.  We became domestic partners in NYC in 2013, and in 2015 decided we wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to get all of our family and friends together by getting married.
