Meet Jessamyn Harris
I work with families, couples, businesses and non-profits to create beautiful portraiture, event coverage and detail photography for individuals and companies. I've been shooting weddings, portraits and businesses for over 20 years. I love capturing timeless, colorful, vibrant images of people…. even (and especially) those who describe themselves as camera shy. I create beautiful, dynamic images with an easy-going, joyful spirit.
How does Jessamyn approach weddings?
My clients love my warmth, humor, approachability and professionalism. I bring a thoughtful eye and engaging personality to my photography, to put even the most reluctant subject at ease. I bring a respectful, loving and slightly silly approach to each photo assignment, capturing each subject’s essence, and creating unique, vibrant, and naturally beautiful images. The best photos happen when everyone feels comfortable, at ease, and respected, so I work to create a joyful, gracious environment at every single shoot. I believe that capturing a perfect, fleeting micro-expression is as important as choosing the perfect wedding dress – that newborn portraits should include not just the bliss and smiles but the crying and blowouts – that we can find beautiful backdrops and light anywhere and everywhere.
What are some traits of your ideal clients?
My clients tend to want beautiful portraits and natural candids that capture the feeling of the day, as well as lots of details and unexpected moments between their loved ones. I love working with diverse clients from all backgrounds, religions, genders, and types of families and relationships. I am a goofball with a sarcastic sense of humor but sincere respect for the people I work with, so whenever we can have fun, make things feel easy and natural, and come away with beautiful photography, that is a win.
What are some of your favorite things?
I love reading, knitting, sunshine, flowers, swimming, traveling, and cuddling with my cats and family.
