Ryan and Jessica are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. They first met in the fall of 2011 at Texas A&M University. When they met at Schuhmacher Hall, Jessica thought Ryan was super weird. They became close friends almost immediately, so Jessica was also probably a little weird in her own right. From late night studying and dinners at Sbisa to playing in the rain on campus and cheering on the fightin' Texas Aggie football team, Ryan and Jessica realized there was something special between them and eventually started dating. Ryan loved Jessica for a long time and waited patiently for her to finish nursing school before they got married.

Over the course of three days, Marni Wishart Photographer and a team of dozens of Houston contributing vendors came together to create a series of themed pop-up weddings in a Texas Hill Country glamping venue. Despite rain, cold, and heavy fog, this team of creatives and a group of diverse models and real couples created some really stunning inspiration.

Tomayia Colvin, a portrait photographer and educator in Houston, is a well-known leader and activist in our community. She is a children's book author, a doctoral student in the field of educational leadership, and she works with conferences to connect them with talented and diverse speakers and educators.

You'll hardly ever find the Catalyst team in one place.  I can think of maybe three times when our Editor, Photographer, and Creative Director sat around one table, eating Indian food, and wildly brainstorming on an oversized piece of craft paper.

In just the past few months, Carly, our Photographer, has traveled to Sweden, Italy, Seattle, and New York for weddings, while our Creative Director, Jen, has spent the last three months hunkering down in Hong Kong, and Editor, Liz, has relocated from Washington, DC to Houston, Texas.
