Elodie from Tall and Small Events and I wanted to do a styled shoot that mixed traditional elements of a wedding (white gown, crisp tuxedo, gorgeous florals) with hip modern design (velvet linens, whimsical engagement rings, and a fun cake). We did this at the NoMad Hotel’s wedding space, which has this exact vibe, and gave us a few creative places to work. Bridal Stylist Liana from Be Brilliant Styling selected the perfect gown for this shoot from The Bridal Garden along with our model, Ana Maria.

With much trepidation and nervousness, we met up at a local bar in San Diego. After the initial chit-chat (and a tiny bit of liquid courage), we felt a sense of comfort and compatibility that neither of us had expected. We talked for hours, sharing our pasts, and discovering we had quite a bit in common. Before we knew it, the bar was making last call and neither of us wanted the night to end.
 

Three years prior to the day they wed, Sean and Ryan met. “Our meeting was pure luck, and not just because it was on St. Patrick's Day. Sean was on a scavenger hunt and needed the shamrock beads that Ryan was wearing. He won the hunt and scored Ryan’s number!” They’ve been together ever since.
