Rainbow Themed Queer Intimate Wedding Inspiration in Boston

This shoot was created entirely by queer vendors (with one exception being the venue, which is a local brewery with a clear commitment to hiring queer folks in both of their locations), inclusive of PoC folks, and featuring a real-life queer couple. The entire operation, put together and photographed during Pride Month in June, was focused on lifting up and working together with LGBTQ+ community.

Real Couple // A Sweet, Fun Wedding in Pittsfield, MA: Jenn + Mark

"We knew we wanted to have it in the Berkshires since most of my family and friends back in Virginia had not been there yet, and we wanted to give them a chance to experience the community and see why I decided to live in this area. We decided to go with the simplest (and most affordable) wedding venue option so that we can spend the money to customize a few details to our liking.

"I hate being the center of attention, so if I had my way, I would just magically appear at the front of the aisle, say "I Do", and then immediately poof away. Unfortunately, technology isn't there yet. So we settled on a very short ceremony so that there was minimal looking at me. But it was a very special moment because we had our dear friend, Ethan, perform the wedding ceremony. He quoted Bob Dylan, as requested, and really made the ceremony specific to us."

Real Couples // A Nautical New England Wedding: Donnie + Jamie

Donnie and Jamie's wedding took place July 27, 2014 before gay marriage had been legalized nationwide, so they decided on a destination wedding in Massachusetts, a state going on 10+ years of legalized same sex marriage.  They chose a place they both loved, Provincetown, most commonly known as P-Town! If you haven't been there yet, this place is AMAZING — one of the most idiosyncratic and extraordinary towns in the United States. It is a huge summer attraction with its beautiful beaches, quirky shops, and a popular destination for same sex couples.
