Yes, Videography Should Be a Necessity for Your Wedding Day
While having a photographer is typically viewed as a necessity, significantly fewer couples plan to have a videographer present at their wedding — and nearly all of those couples deeply regret the decision.
Real Couples *Video* // A Magical Farm Wedding in Asheville: Amy + Lindsay
Amy and I met at the hair salon! Let’s just say she gave me a haircut that changed my life. Literally. We had a mutual friend who went to Amy for really awesome haircuts, and she had told me to go see Amy. It took me almost a year to walk in that salon, but I was so glad that I did. She had me mesmerized: she was beautiful and absolutely stunning! Plus she gave me the most awesome haircut ever. The sparks were flying and I had not felt this way before.
Real Couples // A Dinosaur Love Story: Colleen + Alex
Alex proposed to Colleen in front of the Spinosaurus skeleton at the National Geographic museum in Washington DC. Their wedding date was actually on their seven year anniversary. They really added some very unique personal touches to their wedding day like the birch program scrolls which were made by Alex's mom in honor of his Russian and her Native American heritage. They also included a sage smudging ceremony and instead of the traditional unity candle lighting the couple opted to create a "Unity Cocktail" an Manhattan to be exact! This was just an overall fun wedding to shoot at the Green Point Loft.
Real Couples in Video // 18 Years in the Making: Markus + Carl
When I first spoke with Carl late last year to learn about his marriage to Markus, I knew I was in for a good story. Markus and Carl have been together for 18 years and engaged for 15 of those years. Their love for one another is an absolutely incredible thing to witness in person, and it was hard for us to hold back the tears as they gave their vows to one another.
Behind the Scenes with Lovelit Films // Sabrina & Moira
Sabrina and Moira are a real-life queer Chilean-American couple living in Los Angeles, CA. They met through mutual friends in Portland, OR in 2005. Moira attempted to get Sabrina’s attention several times, but it wasn’t until 5 years later, when the 2010 earthquake hit central Chile that they made a real connection, bonding over their concern for family in the region during the natural disaster. In Moira’s words, “It took an 8.8 earthquake in Chile to get her to notice me!” They fell in love and have been together ever since. This past New Year's Eve, they spontaneously eloped in Hawaii.
