It’s summer trends, but giving people a little cold shoulder action at your wedding is definitely a "Hell Yes," if you ask me. I have seen so many off-the-shoulder gowns lately and loved all of them. Everything from a fitted dress to a more beachy vibe, loose fitting off-the-shoulder is extremely beautiful and effortlessly sexy to me. Not to mention, Rihanna just released a new body glow product for Fenty Beauty, Body Lava, so just imagine having that glowing neckline exposed, yes girl!

North Carolina photographer Latoya Dixon and her husband, Lee, are just as gorgeous on the inside as they are on the outside. When I started planning this shoot, I knew they would be perfect for the spot! They had a courthouse elopement and didn't have a big wedding. So, we treated her like a bride. She went dress shopping for the first time with her mom! We had her makeup done on site by my amazing makeup artist friend. It was amazing!

I never dreamed about my wedding day as a child. I am not that girl! I honestly feel as though I would breakout into hives just like Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City if I were to try on a wedding dresses. This is not an anti-wedding dress rant. Wedding dresses are the most beautiful gowns ever! I just cannot do traditional anything, and the cost per wear is just a little too high for me. What is “cost per wear” you ask? Well, this is the total cost of the item/number of days you’ll wear it. For those brides who think similarly, I’ve found a loophole for you!!!!

What a pair! Manny and Neiba met one night at an ugly sweater party. His first impression was not the greatest, but Neiba gave him the benefit of the doubt and eventually the two began dating. Shortly after, Manny deployed to Afghanistan, and it was during their time spent apart that their relationship blossomed. He told me, “It was hard to think about life without her.” Soon after returning from deployment Manny decided to propose. He wanted to ask her to marry him in front of the one who brought them together, so after a Wednesday night service at River of Life Church, Manny got down on one knee and proposed. Neiba was completely surprised, and with tears running down her face she said "DUH!"
